CA Intermediate Subject-wise Study Material 2022:
CA intermediate has a very lengthy course structure. Students preparing for the course should study from the study material provided by ICAI. From here you can download the CA intermediate subject-wise study material for July and Dec exams 2022.
1. CA Intermediate Accounts:
CA Intermediate accounts paper covers a mixture of various topics which includes partnership, sole proprietorship etc. ICAI introduced this subject with an objective to gain ability in students to solve simple problems related to the business world. CA Accounts is one of the toughest subjects in CA intermediate course. It consists of 14 chapters and three modules to make students understand the core basics of accounting.

2. CA Intermediate Corporate and Other Business Laws:
The objective of this subject is to make the students aware of legal issues related to business and company law. This subject is further divided into three parts.
– Business & Business Law
– Business Ethics
– Business Communication
There are 19 chapters in three modules. For better understanding of study material ICAI introduced flow charts, diagrams and tables.
Study material is provided by the BOS (Board of studies) keeping the latest syllabus in mind.
3. CA Intermediate Cost Accounting:
The objective of study material is to provide teaching material to the students to make them aware about the cost accounting concepts and processes. Subject is divided into two parts:
– Cost Accounting
– Financial Management
There are 13 chapters in the first part and 7 chapters in the second part. Every year BoS (Board of Studies) releases the cost accounting study material in both English and Hindi medium.
4. CA Intermediate Taxation Study Material:
The main objective to introduce this subject in CA intermediate exams is to develop an understanding of the basic fundamentals of income tax and goods and services tax law. This will enhance their skills to make right decisions on computations and address application oriented issues.
The subject is divided into two parts:
– Income tax law
– Indirect Taxes
There are 10 chapters in both income tax law and indirect taxes. These subjects consist of topics like preparation of cost sheet, material cost, cost and management accounting, inventory accounting. Study material is available in both English and Hindi medium.
5. CA Intermediate Advanced Accounting Study Material:
Advanced accounting is a practical subject which makes you understand the concepts for the presentation and preparation of financial statements. While studying this subject students will gain knowledge of professional accounting framework. This subject is divided into three modules consisting of eight chapters. Study material prepared by BoS (Board of studies) comes in both English and Hindi medium.
6. CA Intermediate Auditing and Assurance:
Auditing and Assurance is one of the most important subjects in CA intermediate courses. The main objective of this subject is to make students understand the concepts of auditing and gain practical knowledge of auditing procedures and enhance their skills and techniques to apply them in audit.
There are two modules which consist of nine chapters. Study material is available in English and Hindi medium. Topics like the nature of auditing, internal control, vouching, preparation for an audit etc.
7. CA Intermediate Information Technology & Strategic Management:
This subject develops understanding of IT as a key enabler and facilitator of implementing information systems in enterprises and their impact on business processes and controls. This study material consists of business process management & IT, telecommunication and networks, Business information systems, BPM Implementation etc.
This subject is divided into two parts:
– Information Technology
– Strategic Management
There are 12 chapters in the syllabus. The study material is prepared by the faculty of BoS. Students can download the study material in Hindi and English medium.
